The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is apologizing for a salad they created in honor of Juneteenth

Oh no not again! After last week’s story about Walmart trying to cash in on the holiday with a Juneteenth themed ice cream… enter the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis apologizing for a Juneteenth inspired Watermelon Salad.

Yeaha Juneteenth Watermelon Salad!

Playing into an old stereotype was likely not their intention but one person asked on social media why did the Museum need to “add Juneteenth to an overpriced salad?”

Initially the Museum tried to defend the salad but later released a statement apologizing.
