More Ways to Celebrate Juneteenth 2021 in Metro Detroit

Juneteenth National Independence Day became a recognized federal holiday Thursday, when President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law. Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States, marking the anniversary date of the June 19, 1865 when slaves in Texas found out they were free by Union Army general Gordon Granger. Juneteenth Painting with Darts
