Juneteenth marks the official end of slavery in the U.S. and is celebrated on June 19th.  It was made a federal holiday last year. Walmart… trying to cash in on the holiday had a Juneteenth themed ice cream on the shelves but after social media found out about it… well… it’s gone now.

Walmart has pulled a controversial Juneteenth-themed ice cream off the shelves and said in a statement that the, “Juneteenth holiday marks a commemoration and celebration of freedom and independence. However, we received feedback that a few items caused concern for some of our customers and we sincerely apologize.”
