The 29-year-old from Ocala, Florida said that, “Hopefully, we’ll see more minorities, especially in the USA, getting out and trying these winter sports.” The former inline skater who switched to speedskating shortly before the 2018 Olympics, won the gold medal with a time of 37.04 seconds! The win gave the American speedskating program its first individual medal since the 2010 Olympics.
