Rockmond Dunbar is out as a cast member of the series 9-1-1 because of the show’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
In a statement to Deadline Dunbar said, “I applied for religious and medical accommodations pursuant to the law and unfortunately was denied by my employer.” Dunbar played Michael Grant on the series for five seasons and saw his character written off of this week’s episode.
LeVar Burton is now a game show host, but it’s not Jeopardy. Instead, Burton and eOne have come together to develop a game show based on the game Trivial Pursuit. He will also serve as host and executive producer of the show and so far a broadcast partner hasn’t signed on.
After seven seasons, Queen Sugar is coming to an end. Creator Ava Duvernay said, “It’s a radical act that it lasted this long.” The final season is expected to have 13 episodes and premiere sometime next year.
