According to IndieWire.com, the brand new George Lucas museum in Los Angeles will soon be home to the most extensive collection of African-American film history. The museum acquired the Separate Cinema Archive with over 37,000 rare items from 1904 to 2019.

The collection includes film stills, movie posters, scripts, lobby cards, and an extensive reference library. The completion of the Lucas museum is projected for 2021.
