God Makes Professionals For Our Health & Behavioral Heath As Well [[Exclusive Interview]]

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, “One in 5 Americans is affected by mental health conditions. Stigma is toxic to their mental health because it creates an environment of shame, fear and silence that prevents many people from seeking help and treatment. The perception of mental illness won’t change unless we act to change it.”

To that end, I will continue to help change the perceptions by talking to people who are on the front line of changing the way we think about mental health conditions and treatment.

Today, I spoke to Kevin Fischer, Executive Director the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Michigan, about faith leaders addressing mental illness as well as the efforts to remove the stigma associated with it.
