This month’s Local Artist Love salutes Chekira Daffin. Chekira began singing as a child under the tutelage of her mother, Apostle Karen Bruce. Although she loves music her major as a proud graduate of the Detroit High School of Fine and Performing Arts was dance. But, it was there where she began to really hone her skills as a singer and would begin to write original music.
I got more details about Chekira’s background and had the opportunity to debut her single… out today… “Love me to Death.”
