Today I had the opportunity to talk to Lemuel Plummer, Company Founder and CEO of L Plummer Media and one of the executive producers of the new docu-series,“Preachers of L.A.” premiering on Wednesday, October 9 at 10 PM ET/PT. He was accompanied by his dad, Dr. Glenn R. Plummer, Pastor of Ambassadors for Christ Church and owner and operator of three TV stations over the years. Because Lemuel grew up surrounded in the broadcast industry he gained valuable experience as a producer, director and editor very early in his budding career.

Plummer gained his first network credit on ABC’s Emmy Award Winning series, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and less than two years later, acquired a deal with BET Networks, where he created and executive produced the documentary series, Vindicated (hosted by Morris Chestnut). He has also produced WeTV’s hit show, Mary, Mary, and is the executive producer of BET’s The Sheards.
The controversy surrounding his new venture along with Holly Carter (executive producer of “106 & Gospel” and executive producer of “The Sheards,”), has a lot of people talking, so when presented with the opportunity… I wanted to talk about it too.
