Will You Be Quiet… Please?!

Proverbs 29:20 says, “There is more hope for a fool than for someone who speaks without thinking.” (NLT)

Never has this been truer to those who speak on social media without giving any thought on what it is doing to you and those around you.

Recently, I’ve been watching and reading the laundry of Deitrick Haddon on social media and kept silent but yesterday I feel he went entirely too far. There was no regard to whom this might be hurting.

Deitrick Haddon Comes Clean, Puts Issac Carree On Blast

Let me first start by saying ALL have sinned and fallen short… your girl included. I certainly have done things I’m not proud of but to beat my sin drum on social media won’t happen. Not with me. I’m certainly not taking anyone who has hurt me or I may have hurt, down that path either. It’s just not worth it.

So here’s my two cents worth: You’re hurt. We get it. But, hurting others publicly is not the way to rectify the situation. The world is watching. And, non-believers everywhere are shaking their heads confirming the reason they don’t like church people. What a shame.

There no real reason to justify your raggedy behavior this way… none… especially if you’re grown. So, it’s best to keep your mouth shut, get your life together and let the world see your light… not your posts, manifestos or dissertations.

Oh, and don’t get me started on the use of your God given discretion with the pictures and videos some of our “saints” have been posting. Not everything belongs on the web… unless you like being trapped IN a web.

Proverbs 3:21-22 “My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace.”

Okay, I’m done.
